Susah dulu, senang kemudian? Hey Netz! What I had planned for 3rd Oct turned out haywired, PERIOD. I swear it's a day where I have the utmost belief in the saying, "Susah dulu senang kemudian," Memang itu saying sangat benar ye, haha. Plans for the day was to visit my house then on to his next. Afterwhich we planned to catch a movie, chillax for awhile etc. Well, we couldn't afford to Raya so much cos Bf believe that we should go out rather than Raya. Aside from that, he also books out on Saturday afternoon and books in Sunday evening. So pity the boy, stripped out of the jolly goodness of Hari Raya. Then, I, as a filial and sympathetic girlfriend should oblige and cater to his conveniences. Lol. So plans were simple, right? In a turn of event, Ayie turned up at my void deck earlier than expected. Mum was then, only, starting to cook her dishes Lontong Goreng and Spaghetti Bolognese. She was only sauteeing in one pan and boiling the raw spaghetti in another pot. And I was not even ready, damn I even fetched him wearing my faded ripped jeans and some random tee I put on due to the unexpected rush whilst he was looking dashing in his 'purplish-pink'* baju kurong. * He claims it's pink with purplish-blueish lines weaved into the pink fabric. So that makes it purplish-pink. He even corrected me that when I had said that he just don a simply pink baju kurong. Lol, suke hati kau lah nak. Back home, Mum was busy cooking and complaining that she's running short of 'manpower'. Alah, short of helping hands as I had gave her my word that I would help out with the cooking. Which as it it turns out, I didn't. HAHA. This was already a sign that things were going out of control, but I didn't heed it. So, after that we vroom-vroom to Tampines, his place. But we stopped in our tracks as dark clouds had already gathered threatening to downpour soon. It drizzled shortly after, so we had to delay our plans and waited under a void deck till the weather subsided. Then we really set off to Tampines. Somewhere along the expressway, SLE into TPE, I felt the bike wobbling. And the first thought that came into my mind was, "Oh my God, the Typhoon!" Seriously! Only to turn out it was his bike, specifically his back tyre. Dah lah bikin aku kanciong, skali anti-climax pulak tu! The stupid tube has leaked and well, the tyre was basically flattened. I swear at that point of time, I could no longer hide the exasperated look on my face. Bloody toot, how is it possible that something simple can go wrong? So, we were perched by the Road Shoulder of SLE just the two of us with his bike. And after numerous calls, finally, a mechanic came to our rescue. Tu pon, we have to wait for 40 minutes. During which, Bf sungguh smart wanted to push his bike from the middle of SLE to the nearest pitstop, Seletar Camp, which may i add was 1 km further up. Bloody toot, so we had to push the bike in our Raya clothes sia! And me, in my heels and pink kebaya! Ayie pulak was already sweaty and shagged, it's so evident from his face. His baju kurong had already turned a shade darker. I bet we look extremely pityful to the other road users, seriously. Tak sedih ke? Tk kesian ke? HAHA. 4 cars stopped along the way, even a police car. But none was helpful. But thanks lah eh. Geez. Kalau nak suroh panggil tow truck, tu pon kite dah tau. Duh. [/edit] So where was i? Right, about us stranded on expressway! And finally, after God-knows-how-long we waited thus arrive the Handyman, and the first thing he did was laughed at us. "Asal lu tolak motor? Gua boleh bikin ni motor pat tempat lu tadi," By then, we've pushed the bike for about 1 km already! Grr, and here we thought that we had called for towing services (-.-") So, as the Handyman did the repairing of the burst tubes, I snapped some pictures as I find this whole situation a huge joke. HAHA. And....... the picture turned out ridiculous. Fish, we were drenched! We were such a sight sia, like drowning rats. Okay, wtf. We looked like a pink hot mess! HAHA. Problem solved. Vrrrrrrroom back to Tampines. Our plans was already delayed by an hour plus, by then. So anyhoos, on the way to Bf's place, I was already jittery. Gosh, my first time meeting his family and I looked like such a mess. My hair was soaked and tangled, thanks to the wind and rain. My makeup didn't look so fresh. I tried my hardest to fix my hair and makeup to a fresh, doable state. Then proceeded up when we bumped into his lil brother, Juzaili, who claimed that he wanted to go out and purchase some drinks. Later we found out that, actually, he just wanted to see me. Hehe, cute. Anyways, on reaching his home, the whole family was there plus his aunt's family too. I could really feel the butterflies in my tummy worked up again. But to my utter shock, i received the warmest welcome a stranger could ever feel. Technically, i am a stranger right? Having his parents and aunt chat and entertain me well, I could almost feel the butterflies in my tummy subsided to nothing. And it didn't took me a long time to get comfortable thereon after. Hehe. Ate Mee Rebus which Bf's Mum had cooked. And me being ever-so-eager-to-impress, i've put a whole lot of stuffs that I would never eat in my daily life. Or in my Mee Rebus, in this case. Eg. Green chilies, green leaves, a wedge of lime, fried shallots. Not only that I don't eat vegetables, I too like my food simple. No dressing, toppings, garnishing or whatsoever. HAHA. I am such a suck-up! After the makan-makan session, his aunt initiated the idea for his niece to take pictures with me. The idea then escalated to an extend, where his siblings and Mom(!) even took too. I didn't even have to move about (that's the best part), they just have to perched on the arm of the chair. HAHA, sumpah I so felt like a superstar by then. And it does help that I looove to take pictures, so I smiled all the way till I reached his void deck and complained that I had a smile-ache from smiling too much. HAHA. Great thanks to those who made me feel like home, yeah? You too Ira, for publishing that sweet post which I didn't expect but is still greatly appreciated, of course! :) To read: CLICK! ![]() Then for the last pitstop of the day, we changed and headed off to East Coast. To de-stress all the tension, nerves, inconveniences, obstacles faced that day. We even walked alongside the coastline of the beach, barefooted. So sweet, right? *swoons* Okay, goodbye babies.
