Monologue Scenario: 2 guys and 2 girls were seating by a sidewalk curb. The guys (Mairi & Syafiq) were busy puffing away on their cigarettes, chatting about God knows that boys talk about. The girls (Shikin & Rin) were busy gossiping whilst trying to find a way to navigate their way through Farrer Road. Then came in a group of scantily clad girls (well, kinda) waving and swiiiit-ing on the other side of the road. Shikin: "Eh Rin, tu kawan kau ke? Dorang lambai-lambai pat kau uh," [Eh Rin, are they your friends or something? They're waving at you] Rin: *looks over Shikin's shoulder* "Err, tak uh. Tak kenal pon," [Nope, not a clue. I don't know them] Shikin: "Tapi dorang lambai seh pat ko," [But they're waving at you!] Rin: "Yeah, but aku rase drg lambai pat bapak drg uh," [Yeah, i know. But maybe they're waving at their Dad lah] An older man don in an orange basketball jersey with blue denim jeans was standing nearby trying to start up his air-conditioned meat lorry. Mairi: "Eh, pompuan pat Woodlands ni lain eh. Kite kalau pat Tampines, kite swiit ke kacau drg, drg tak layan pon eh. Tapi pat Woodlands, kite tak kacau drg, drg dah kacau kite sia. Gatal sia," Lol. [Eh, the girls here in Woodlands are diferent. At Tampines, if we catcall or tease them, they simply just ignore us. But here in Woodlands, we didn't even make any move, and they've already teased us. So flirty uh] Rin: "Tak gatal eh, kite pat Woodlands more friendly, easygong people okay," [We're not flirtatious okay, here in Woodlands we're just more friendly and easygoing people] Shikin: "Woodlands have lots of cheap girls uh!," Rin: "Haha, siak aje orang eastside ni. Daerah ni lebih diam dari the other side eh. Kalau the other side tu kalau ko cakap gatal, cheap tu, aku paham lah," Lol. [Haha, what only you eastside people. This side of Woodlands is definitely more quieter and tamed rather than the other side of Woodlands sia. If you say the girls at the other sider are flirty, that I can understand uh.
